We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Maybe because it looks rushed.
I love the technique with the fur, the color scheme, and the pose. But, for me, it is the little inconsistencies that keep it from being a grand slam.
The relative orientation and placement if the eyes nose and mouth just don't quite agree. Likewise the lighting and highlights of those parts and the face. The paws could use a bit more careful construction too. It took me a while to figure out that the errant black speck on the foreleg was supposed to be a dewclaw.
Then again "What more do people want?" I dunno...
If you give them perfection too often - they take it for granted.
Keep in mind the critique above was given by a guy who can't be bothered to post anything more than first rough scribbles.
